2 Page Layouts

August 12th, 2008

One of my Babycenter friends asked me if I do Layout spreads over both pages.  I thought this would be a good blog topic since I normally only post 1 page at a time.  The answer is “yes” I do spreads over both pages because I like my pages to match.  But I do them different ways and so I’m going to post some here so you can see how I do them.

I do this type of LO to document my daughter’s monthly milestones.  You will notice the kit is the same so the pages match but the composition and design of the pages are different.  I made free templates of these pages which can be downloaded here and here.

These are 2 completely different Layouts but with using the same kit.  They still complement each other because the kits match but the composition is different.

The kit I used for these is Cotton Candy 2 by Mandy Mystiques.  The first Layout has Word Art by Bethany and the second LO is from a template by DigiTreats.

These Layouts have different compositions but not completely.  They are very similar with their paper and element clustering and size of pictures.

Here’s an example of a 2 page LO using the same template and same kit.  I simply flipped the template to make a mirror image.

This is an example of a 2 page LO that flows together.  The kit is the same but the photos and papers are laid out in such a way to promote the flow of both pages together.

Kit is a blog freebie from Mandy Mystiques.  Alpha is from A Work in Progress.

I love doing 2 page LOs. I do them all the time! Your pages looks really great! I especially like the ones with the green background and the two with the polka-dot background! I like how you flipped the template. I’ve done that before and it just works so well to make your spreads symmetrical! BTW, your daughter is a doll!

I love your 2-pagers! I do a lot of complementing pages in a section in my regular scrapbooks, of ones where you can tell an event ends and pages for a new one begins because while things were different from page to page, the background was identical.

I think I like the 4-month on the best of the ones you’ve shared…but I love green!! :)

    Thanks for sharing!

I really like all of those. I don’t know how you seem to come up with such creative layouts. Maybe that is why I feel like I have borrowed so many of them.
